How are Snowstorms formed?

Snowstorms are formed when hot and cold air collide. As the warm air rises the cold air settles underneath the hot air. If the area between the the clouds and the ground are below 40F then the snow will be be able to stick to the ground, And when so much snow falls it's called a Snowstorm.
